RESULTS and RESULTS Educational Fund (REF) are sister organizations who work to end poverty in the United States and around the world. Although these programs contribute to several projects and causes, they are big advocates for early childhood development and programs such as Head Start. The National Association for the Education of Young Children was founded in 1926 and is the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children ages birth to 8 years old. The NAEYC has almost 80,000 members including teachers, paraeducators, center directors, trainers, college educators, and families of young children. Membership is open to any individual who is wanting to serve and act on behalf of the needs of young children.
